The BLM is having their largets land sale in about 10 years! The auction will include about 520 acres in the Southwest, a fast growing section of Las Vegas. According to the article below the last auction which was held in November 2005 included the land that is now the community Inspriada.

Median home prices in Las Vegas continued to increase in the first half of 2014. The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors shows that not only did single family median prices inceased, but also condos and townhouses.
The Median price for single family was $199,900, which is a 14.2% increase from June 2013. Condos and townhomes saw an increase of 26.7%.

The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that a quick growth in construction is one of the reasons the unemployment in Nevada decreased. I feel that the new developments of commercial centers and malls along with new home sales plays a large part in the construction growth.

Last month Las Vegas hit the lowest number of foreclosures since August 2006. While this is good news for the Las Vegas market it was also reported that the number of default notices increased for the first time in 7 months.

Las Vegas investors saw an average return of 32.5% on homes they flipped. Las Vegas ranked 12 in the nation for investment flipping. If you know someone who is interested in investment properties I can certainly help.
